Torx Plus® Drive System
The Acument™ Global Technologies Torx Plus® Drive System is recognized worldwide as the leading high-performance drive in automotive, industrial, electronic, construction, and related markets. Introduced in 1993 as a design improvement over the original Torx® Drive System, its elliptically based geometry broadens contact surfaces while maximizing driver engagement and torque transfer. Straight sidewalls prevent camout, tool slippage and potential damage to trim and finished surfaces, and a zero degree drive angle virtually eliminates radial stresses and increases tool bit life.
Mag-Form® Thread Forming Fasteners
Mag-Form® Thread-Forming Fasteners from Acument® Global Technologies North America are specially designed to form mating threads in magnesium. Wide spaced threads with a broad 105 degree flank angle compress rather than roll form threads into low-ductility magnesium, minimizing debris generation and producing a strong, reliable joint. Mag-Form® Thread-Forming Fasteners are easily removed and reinserted for service and usable with all drive systems, including the Acument™ Global Technologies Torx®-Plus Drive System.
Strux® Clinch nuts
High-performance Strux® Clinch Nuts from Acument™ Global Technologies North America are used with steel and aluminum sheets as thin as 1.5 mm. A cost-effective alternative to welding, they provide a cleaner appearance devoid of heat zone distortions. Featuring displacement lobes, retaining rings and grooves, they resist push-out and rotation during service while facilitating assembly of hard-to-reach components. Strux® Clinch Nuts can be used with coated sheet metals, eliminating the need for secondary surface treatments.
