Subsequently, through the efforts of industry leaders like Heinrich Schmid, the technology and equipment evolved and was scaled to produce much larger components without sacrificing the watchmakers original passion for precision. Today, this technology and modern equipment, which still bears the Schmid name, is used by Burkland Inc. to manufacture high-precision, fine blanked componenets for the automotive, industrial, construction, commercial and consumer industries.
