High performance metal fasteners

Advancements in technology have given us such things as high grade aluminum fasteners. Sometimes, though, there are certain tools and accessories that, while not flashy, are still essential for providing the stability needed to produce every day materials. Metal fasteners are one such example. Certain fastening components are becoming increasingly popular. Aluminum fasteners are a prime example. Unfortunately, they are not with out their imperfections. They are highly susceptible to galvanic corrosion, which is the type of corrosion that occurs when two metals are fastened together. It is also a fairly brittle material.

It is then covered with a combination of zinc and chromate to minimize galvanic corrosion typically associated with these kinds of fasteners.
